Title: Administrative Operations Manager


  KIT Recruitment is actively looking for a qualified, Administrative, Operations Manager for this medium sized, family-owned, Irrigation & Outdoor Lighting firm near Bracebridge, Ontario

Administrative, Operations Manager Key Responsibilities:

     To ensure the day-to-day operations of the business run smoothly including Financials, Human Resources and Customer Service Divisions. There is a team of 15 workers within the company.

Financial duties:

  • Reconciling accounts monthly
  • Analyzing financial documents
  • Review overdues Accounts Receivable and collect monthly
  • Review AP
  • Assisting in Accounts payable by assigning to proper accounts in QuickBooks
  • Ensuring WSIB and Source Deduction Compliance
  • Ensuring work orders are received daily and invoicing accurately as per work orders promptly
  • Utilizing QuickBooks and Hindsite Software(for Irrigation)


  • Scheduling service calls and installs and assist in schedules, arrange appointments and bookings
  • Schedule employees as per service calls and installations
  • Manage Corp manager schedules, calendars, and appointments when needed
  • Filing is kept up to date

Human Resources:

  • Biweekly payroll
  • Complete ROE and T4s
  • Onboarding and assisting with training new staff
  • Assist in the planning and execution of company events as required

Client Relations:

  • Answering phone calls
  • Assist in creating irrigation and outdoor lighting estimates, and referring client’s questions about the estimate to manager, scheduling the job order, and making sure the job is completed successfully before billing it out
  • Schedule and book appointments with customer ensuring access to property to complete Irrigation and Lighting ie Spring openings, Winter closing and repairs as needed
  • Ensure customer contact information is up to date and consistent in platforms (QB and HS)


  • Good leadership skills, patience and an ability to self motivate when needed
  • 3+ years working in a financial department, handling payroll, AP & AR
  • 3+ years experience working in a Human Resource capacity-WSIB, HR Policies et.
  • Prior Supervisory Experience required
  • Experience working in a smaller office environment a must!
  • Irrigation knowledge an asset
  • Must have a valid G Driver’s License and reliable transportation
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks, MS Office strong asset
  • Remain updated on technical and professional knowledge by attending educational workshops, joining professional associations, building networks with fellow professionals, and reviewing of industry publications where it makes sense
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent negotiation skills and demonstrated skills in teamwork working collaboratively and as a leader as appropriately

Administrative, Operations Managers Details:

Salary: $29.00 per hour ($60,000 yearly)

Schedule: 7:30 to 3:30 - 8-hour shift -weekdays

3 Weeks Holidays

Licence:  Driver's (Required)-odd delivery required
